about yo. i'm matt. i'm an old man. i'm a full time college student :stresssmoke:. important things to know....... uhhhhh..... i'm gay and trans and all my characters are some form of queer in gender and sexuality. i love to write and i love to yap about characters. i love to make playlists and pinterest boards and send memes. and just enjoy the collaboration of rp.i know sometimes it seems like i'm not very excited about stuff, but i really truly promise i am. it's the autism. i'm trying to be better about it, but tone is very hard for me to convey without it feeling like i'm coming across as sarcastic or trying too hard. but trust and believe, i am flustering and pounding my desk and screaming into my hands over any roleplay i'm part of.

a child of scholars, scientists, researchers, kasimir showed an earlier aptitude for learning. dubbed a genius and a prodigy from a very early age. kasimir was an incredibly sickly child though, often left bedridden, but that meant more time for him to consume knowledge. and thus, he did. he read and learned and his thirst for has never abated even now into adulthood.his family spent much of his early years in the sharlyan colony in dravania, though he left them for a time to attend the studium. by the time he was meant to return to the colony, it was being packed up and returning to old sharlyan. so kasimir stayed and took work at the studium. as a researcher, an alchemist, and later a professor.in that time, he would become an archon. and he would also get married, though that's a longer tale for another time.now that old sharlyan has stopped secluding itself quite so much in the wake of the final days, kasimir is enjoying the freedom to go out and travel and learn more. every thirsty and hungry in his hunt to know more.

OLD SHARLYAN despite his upbringing at the dravanian colony, kasimir has spent most of his life in old sharlyan.STUDIUM former student and now a professor of alchemy, kasimir is a fixture at the studium and plans to be so for a long time. he likes the work, likes teaching, even if he's a bit... unconventional with it.SCIENTISTS, RESEARCHERS, ETC hear ye, hear ye, fellow nerds. kasimir would love to talk shop with you.* he's always looking for new perspectives and new avenues of study to dig his teeth into. kasimir is also a published writer of a variety of non-fictional, educational, etc texts. fellow nerds might recognize his name from said texts.PEOPLE WITH WEIRD/DIFFERENT/UNIQUE AETHER kasimir has very attuned, acute aether sight and sense. so if you want him to look at you like a bug under a microscope approach you about it, he will.

+ kasimir is blind and relies entirely on aethersight and his other senses to navigate the world. given that he was born blind, there's a lot of things that simply don't process to him. colors and shapes, mostly. the glasses that he wears, the special swirly ones, help channel his aether and focus his sight so that he can better make out the shapes of people.+ sickly as a child, kasimir is still not quite as hale and healthy as most are. he's fairly weak and bruises easier than a peach. as such, he tends to avoid any sort of hostilities, combat, etc.+ alchemy is where his true passion is and, as such, kasimir has a lot of alchemical recipes. many of them are secret, patented things. some of them are inherited from a family legacy of alchemists. but he is willing to cook things up for people if they express that to him.
